I've started production on my next project. A music documentary telling the story of bluesman Jim Skinner. The working title is I sing 'cause I like It: The Jim Skinner Story. Jim is a great representation of the ever growing diverse pool of talent in the Nashville scene so this felt like a great story to tell. As a bonus, I sat down with 5 Spot music venue owner (where we filmed interview) Bill “Bones” Verhiede. He gave more insight on Jim and the story of the 5 Spot. Nashville has so many stories waiting to be told, and I'm making it my personal mission to start highlighting them. More to come!
